Is it mostly women with children in the demo for BB2 who r discussing it on net? Just observing the posts when people identify aspects of their lives....an observation is all.

I am a 24 year old and I teach seventh grade (13 and 14 year olds). Last year during BB1 I asked the kids if they watched it and I think 3 or 4 kids per class of 30 raised their hands. I don't have any contemporaries to discuss it with, either. The two people I can dish about BB with are my mom (48) and her friend (52).

What about that station wagon full of nuns that I saw watching BB2 the other day?

<<confused look>> 7th grade with 13 and 14 year olds? My daughter is starting 8th grade next month and she's just turning 13.

On the other sub topic here.. I'm mid 30's myself. I only know of one person in my real life that watches. She and I both are like closet watchers.. we don't exactly admit our addiction to the show to others although we both did buy the live feeds. :)

BB2001nyfan--I'm in the closet, too!! I bought the live feeds, but no one knows:) Last week, some friends were making fun of people who watch this show and I just sat quietly with my hands in my lap!

I think I've met a few folks who watch the show, but mostly most folks my own age I notice don't wanna admitt they watch anything on CBS.. Which is sorta strange, I suppose. *shrug* I'm 20 if that helps any?

Sorry about the age thing..... I guess I was thinkning about my students at the END of last year when they were mostly 13 with a few 14 year-olds. At the beginning of the year last year when BB1 was on they were mostly 12 with a few 13 year olds. My apologies for your confusion, bb2001nyfan.....

Ha, Onlyhuman, I love it. I guess I would do the same for a while, then get my nerve up to say I watch it.

My daughter is 12 and she has not shown any interest in BB at all, and I know non of her friends watch it either. She spent the night with my sister the other night and had to watch it and she was laughing at how funny she thought they all were especially Will admitting about being a liar. But her preference for reality show is Real World although she did watch Survivor with me.

Thanks Stacy.. I was going to ask if you taught in another country perhaps that had the grades set up differently.. but I was having trouble phrasing it, everything I tried looked like an insult. :)

Adding to some of the other sub topics.. isn't it funny how many of us have children around the same age? I think it would be cool if they set up a poll here for only TEENS WHO WATCH should take so we can see who their favorite HG is would be cool. Not for parents to take, but for the kids (or us parents to click what the kids tell us they'd choose)

My daughter wasn't a big Survivor fan.. she watched sporadically and basically was only interested in a synopsis of the show. I used to tape Survivor and watch NBC on another TV in the house. At 9pm I'd rewind the tape and watch that while my daughter got herself ready for bed. She'd wander in and out during it.
