MPD stands for Multiple Personality Disorder.
Also known as a DID(Dissociative Identity Disorder.
(Extremely general and simplistic explaination)
A person adopts a new identity and is also able to adopt as many as 100 new identities. All these identities coexist inside one body and mind. In some cases, these identities are very independent, such as having their own tone of voice, behaviors and physical gestures. These "other" indentities are known as "alters".

Actually - the #1 poster for the entire board is Whit4you - with 1915 posts. I guess a lot of that is the General Discussion area you were helping out with before and maybe some of that BB Australia.  Ryn is 2nd with 1728 and Moondance is 3rd with 1355.
