Toomuch, that is exactly my point. :-) Even the peanut gallery deserves a little recognition.
Actually, I did come up with some possible categories for the Lurker nominations. For example, the "Silent But Deadly," is the lurker who only posts when totally outraged, with the intention of smiting the offending poster with a single blow. Or there's the "Mighty Mouse," the lurker who swoops down in the knick of time, with a save-the-day post when an underdog poster or Hg is being subjected to unsolicited cruelty (see SBD definition). How about the "professional", the poster who only posts when a thread topic clearly enters their field of expertise (ex: therapists, doctors, trailer park managers, banner encryptors) Then there's my favorite, the "Rebounder." This lurker only posts when rebounding from ADHD medication. The rebounder post typically contains every repressed thought on every subject from the time he/she got up in the morning to the second he/she/they hit the send button. btw, if you respond to a rebounders post, you will never receive a reply, as they seldom visit the same thread twice. Just some ideas... |

This thread was such a great idea, and it's wonderful to read it, and see how much everyone appreciates each other. Thank you so much to those who mentioned my name, and I'm really glad that everyone knows that they're loved here.

Whit4you, thank you for mentioning me! I am truly honored, as you are awesome. One of my best memories is the night you left because the live show was coming on in the East and you didn't want any spoilers! Only problem with all this was it was only Wednesday... LOL.. The back and forth exchange, with another fav. of mine, Fruitbat, was hilarious.
I must say that I enjoy everyone here. We all have different opinions, backgrounds and ideas and that blend is what I can appreciate the most. I could not mention the amount of times I have read a post and it has given me a different perspective than I might originally have had. You have all helped me to expand my thinking! My sincere appreciation to you all!
I have seen the brightest, best, wittiest and perceptive people throughout the threads on this board. Everyone contributes a piece of the puzzle and that is what makes the whole so incredible! I thank you and salute you all!
Of course, I would be remiss if I did not give two thumbs up to Ryn, Gail and all the moderators and administrators who give so generously to us all and allow us an awesome place to play! |

I can't believe that I've actually been away from the board for a full 36 hours. That's 5X the number of hours that I had been away previously, since I found this wonderful place.
If ever a thread where I felt like chiming in, then this is the one. I'm not a dummy. I know that sometimes (sometimes even more often than not) my opinions draw ire. Sometimes I even get a pat on the back.lol I cherish both, because I LOVE to speak my mind and I do so without fear of what others may think of me. I know that I'm a good person and I don't have to have others tell me.
That being said, I want to show what a good sport that I am (and I SINCERELY hope that I don't ruin my bad reputation) and say how I actually feel about SOME of my fellow posters.....

I could go on, but I have only been here for a couple of months and my memory isn't always the greatest. I feel bad for those that I left out, but I know that as soon as I hit post, I will remember who you are. 
I sometimes have polarizing opinions, but I'm not a troll or a flamer. I AM evil though, because I'm a girl who's not afraid to speak her mind and will stand up to anybody, anytime, anywhere. I want each of you to know that I enjoy my time on this board immensely and you are all a part of the reason for that. I love engaging in good debate, whether it be criticism of a HG or an all-out lovefest. Thank you all for making this a fun place for me!!
Ok, I'm done, those of you who wish, can return to disliking me or my wreckless-abandon opinions, now.

Second and thirds to all who have said something positive about this thread! I love this board! Found it by accident at the beginning of BB2, and boy am I glad I did! I have spent HOURS here...lurking, I guess! I find myself spending more time here, than watching the live feeds! Anyway, Cher, I totally agree with what you had to say...and I'm glad you said it! And Melissa, I totally agree with you on all of your favorite posters as they are all my favorites too! Feel like I know them and they are old friends!! BTW, can someone PLEASE tell me what the letters FOTH stand for...I know they mean front door...but this is driving me crazy! |

Fruitbat, thanks a lot, you are also one of my favorite posters. I was just getting ready to post on this thread again to note that I find your posts very thoughtful. Whit is someone I always enjoy reading. Snee can be great fun too. Flyonthewall cracks me up, Buttercup is sweet, and Metalgirl is fun as well. Joybot does a great job with live feeds and with perceptive posts. Ahhh... so many more to mention....
Once again, I'm amazed at the quality of posters on this site. You guys have made BB2 a wonderful experience for me. |
