Kent B--is in the house--this house not BB
The ClubHouse: Big Brother Archives: Kent B--is in the house--this house not BB
| Gouraphik | Monday, August 20, 2001 - 10:57 pm I agree, Cinb. Let the spin doctors do what they will...everyone inside and outside the BB house will think what they want, with whatever evidence they can scrounge up. That's life. I'm just glad Kent (and hopefully other HG's) come to this site with their insights (2 rhymes in one post...wow! Just call me the Rhyme Minister! LOL!). |
| Whit4you | Monday, August 20, 2001 - 11:27 pm Kent - I have really enjoyed this thread - welcoming you to the BBFC and I think there are a few hundred more of the 3000+ members who will be dropping by this thread.... I made a thread for us to ask you some of the "tougher" Q's if you should choose to answer them .. it's called Kent .... The BB House was a cakewalk compared to the BBFC (I made a point to suggest they read your answers here first of course .. kick their butts if they try to make you answer the same exact Q again hehe> Anyhow as I said in the "cakewalk" thread.. you don't owe us any more answers then you've already given .. but if you have the time drop by the thread.. if the questions are civil ... I'd love to hear your answers there Be good or DAMN good at it ! Whitney |
| Ewing2001 | Monday, August 20, 2001 - 11:33 pm Thanks Kent for the latest answers about Mike and the agents. Hope you have time to response to my other questions (one folder back!) as well in the "conspiracy thread". Keep rocking!! |
| Muse | Monday, August 20, 2001 - 11:52 pm Thanks for stopping by again, Kent. And trust me - your visits are much appreciated! I almost hate to ask it since you're swamped with questions already, but I'm curious, so...what are your feelings regarding Monica? If she somehow managed to slip into the final two (unlikely, but you never know) and your feelings for the remaining HGs didn't change much in the next month, who would she have to be up against her for you to vote for her? Hardy or Nicole? How about Will? And a related question - do you think Monica ever speaks "Arabic" ( ) on purpose so others won't know what she's thinking and/or because she wants to avoid answering a question? Or is that just the way she talks?? |
| Rainbowz | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 12:18 am Hi Kent, Glad you managed to get in touch with Gregg. Hope he's holding up well without Bunky. I'm repeating a question that's been asked a few different ways but I thought I'd take a stab at it too: Can you tell us what the procedure will be once the house is down to the last 3 people? And how will the ex-HG's votes be handled? There's been speculation in all directions on these points, but since we've never seen a BB contract or talked to Mr Shapiro or the staff, we're really just taking pot shots. The 2nd last HoH is coming up now, with the car races, as this round will take the houseguests down to only 4 next week. After that, one more HoH is going to be selected and will toss out the last nom. Once they're down to 3, they can't do HoH again, it just wouldn't make sense for several reasons. So what is the BB game plan at that point? How is the last person (the 3rd wheel in effect) going to be chosen? We've also heard a few different scenarios as to how some of the ex HGs can be removed from the final vote. Is this true? Do the last 2 get to EACH get to anull one voter? Or must they collaborate and decide together on ONE ex HG to not vote? And do you have the SUV yet? |
| Suzilovesbb | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 12:30 am Plato Kent and the other evictees are still part of the game, as they all have to vote later. Not sure how that works but part of everyone's strategy has to take evictees' future votes into account. Kent, can you believe Bunky has gotten this far? Who would you like to see Bunky in the final 2 with if he makes it? |
| Xyth | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 12:39 am Is this a "back pat" forum or are we free to ask pro and con type questions? There were questions that several people asked geared towards whether Kent believed he was hypocritical in the game and in real life. They seemed like harmless, honest questions. |
| Whit4you | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 12:53 am Xythn - this thread is a welcoming Kent thread - I did make a thread for askin the tough Q's (in a civil way) called uh .....well scroll up a few posts and see LOL (but of course he's not obligated to feel he has to answer to his behaviour in the game in that thread - it'll be totally up to him .. was just my brainchild...will see how it goes |
| Iggy2 | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 02:57 am Kent: I think you would make an excellent game show host. You came across as a real pro when you hosted the food challenge. Did CBS pick up on this? |
| Toomuch72 | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:31 am Kent Keep popping up---palease. Since I started this thread my head has swelled with each and every post you have placed here it is so cool to have you tell us what you thought(think) of the show. There are very few people that I consider Celebrities. Most Actors or Actresses I've met have just treated me like a non-person. So therefore I consider you the ultimate in celebs. So word of advice no matter how busy and famous you get remember us your fans. We luv ya for that reason. |
| Ophelia | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:57 am This is my first day in the club house. How do you folks know that Kentbb is the Kent from the house and not an imposter? |
| Azriel | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 05:12 am Ophelia, it has been verified. He is the real Kent Blackwelder from BB. Sheryl's son Harrison also posts here under the name Sherball. That has been verified, too. |
| Tcrystalclear | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 07:20 am So does Jeff, Nicole's husband. But not often |
| Analyzer | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 03:30 am a bump to the top for Kent... |
| Tcrystalclear | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 05:18 am OK Kent, the big question.....Would you have taken the money? |
| Emt911 | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 07:44 am Kent, My husband was in Alaska fishing and I got brave and took the kids and the motorhome to Disneyland for 5 days by myself. The morning we left, I took a quick look at the live feed posts and saw where you said if you were evicted you would probably stick around the L.A. area and take the family to Disneyland before going home. We did not have access to television and the BB show that Thursday, so I did not know for sure you were evicted that week. (I kept hoping against hope that you were still in the house, especially when I did not see you in the park!) My kids kept teasing me:"Look! There's Kent!" Okay, yes, I looked each time :>) The park was so crowded, I didn't even see my own kids half the time, but I since found out your family was there at the same time--Saturday, August 11th. It must be so nice to be out of the house, although the 500k would have been a nice bundle. I think you were the most human throughout your stay in the house, and definitely the most normal. Each day must have had about 50 hours in it! I also admire your decision to not go to Belly's after all. Why give Boogie more undeserved attention?! Welcome back! |
| Tcrystalclear | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 10:13 am Emt, that was too funny about your kids saying "Look, there's Kent". Mine would do the same thing. They make fun of me for being so into it, BB and BBFC. My oldest son calls me a fiend. |
| Emt911 | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 10:49 am Hey, I even looked for Kent in the few and far between 'designated smoking areas', in case he had started up again!!!lol. I'll bet there were more people in Disneyland that weekend than there are in my entire county! Who knows? I could have been within 10 feet of Kent, and wouldn't have known it, because there would have been 5 or 6 people between us. I just think it's kind of cool that we were there at the same time, because I hadn't been for nearly 10 years, and as far as i know, Kent and family had never been there before. Maybe that terrible screaming on Splash Mountain was Kent when they went over the final ledge!! Although my kids swear it was me:>) |
| Ryn | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:13 pm FYI - Kent has not been to the board since Monday morning. It is entirely possible that he is taking a well deserved break from all things Big Brother so on that note I am going to move the kent threads to the "Discuss a HG" area under his folder. I will also e-mail him and let him know where he can find them. I think he was more than generous coming here and posting as much as he did. And I hope he comes and visits again in the future, when he wants to and not before. Thanks everyone |
| Lurknomore | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:23 pm Hey Ryn, could you or someone pretty please post here if he does come back. I have completely enjoyed this thread (just as I enjoyed Kent until he ran amuck over Hardy lol). It's had some most interesting insights. But I know I never head over to the HG folders. Heck I can barely keep up here. I love this board but sure wish you guys would leave some of these threads open and here. |
| Ryn | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:26 pm Just do a search (link at top of the board) occasionally for "kentbb" as the author, he only has about 10-15 posts here, if you suddenly see more you will know he has posted ;) |
| Ryn | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:29 pm Lurk, we have 184 in this area alone. Last year we kept this area around 100 threads. The more threads listed the slower the page loads (since its longer) and the more load on the server. I usually (or another moderator) trim it back to 125-140 every day and its back up to 200 by the end of the day. |
| Lurknomore | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:39 pm Ya I know Ryn we b a prolific group. Just ::::sniff:::: seems there could be far less interesting threads to snip. Of course JMHO. I'm sure I'll forget to search (out of sight and all that) and miss it. But :::::sniff::::: it's ok |
| Ryn | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:42 pm Sorry lurk we have veered way off topic but one more post and then I move it, last year we didn't archive any bit the most recent posts, this year there are already 2 zipped files of discussion area stuff. Its scarry but this year 99% of the posts will be saved - possible 'forever' <shudder> |
| Lurknomore | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 09:47 pm Ok hate to be last...but if memory serves (and I was an active lurker last year) we didn't have evicted houseguests, spouses, and family members posting. I vaguely recall a small handful from Eddie's Mom, but not the fun interchanges like this. It's been a blast. Just hate to see the party end (Ok move but I know I'll miss it so end for me). |
| Toomuch72 | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 12:42 am Uggghh!!!! I almost lost this thread. Hehehe. I searched everywhere then I thought why not just search for Kentbb posts--duh Blond moment. Instead I searched for kent and got 5000000000000 X infinity hits. Thank Gosh I found this Have to know what kent has to say next. LOL---Kent does deserve a rest and if you would like to check in once a week or every two weeks I can handle that(I think.) Gosh Now that we have you we can't let you go. |
