I thought he looked very uncomfortable and unsure of himself.

I agree with RealTV about the hug rule. :)

The real question is "Should't Mike be embarrassed"? He acted like an arrogant, a** on national television. He made some of the nastiest comments about others (including his darling Krista) that I have ever heard. It is one thing to play a game to win, it is another to make general mean and hurtful comments about others misfortune, or social status. He is a plain out jerk, even if he was just playing. I have no pity for any of these contestants and feel the best statagist should win, but this guy is just plain out mean and evil...

Realtvfan,

You are right (did I just say that?). You did say "I believe..." in your first sentence. I overlooked that. I guess I am just having a hard time today with people telling me what the houseguests are thinking and feeling and it is driving me crazy! If I didn't watch the show or read the feeds...boy, I would have a totally different picture about what is going on. Some of the stories that can transpire are amazing. I am sorry for jumping on you! Can I join in on the group hug? Or should I just pat you on the back?

Jewel,

Absolutely you're in the group hug.

He should be embrassaed, especially with that wimpy bunch of roses her brought for her. My tape ran out before the end of the show so I can't rewatch it, but weren't they multi colored roses? Different colored roses have different meanings. If we are supposed to believe he really cares for her he should have been standing there with two dozen long stemmed red roses. Not the special of the week from the grocery store.

Mummy maybe they were the flowers (or a duplicate bouquet) that he received from Krista. Maybe CBS provided them to him.

Did anyone else notice that Mike was NOT in the same room as Freddie and Monica's family? Makes me wonder why that was. I thought for someone who is normally so self assured in front of a camera, he looked very uncomfortable. They do watch the show at Belly's and I'm sure he's heard all about how Krista thinks she's in love with him. If he felt the same way, he should have been sitting there with a huge smile anticipating the moment when he could see her again. Instead, he looked like a guy who was about to be confronted with a woman who loves him and he doesn't love in return... uncomfortable.

I still think that it comes down to "face time", the guy is a delusional moron...he just wanted his "Star" writ big during Krista's exit.

I can't wait until Shannon shows up for Will's (hopefully soon)...same verse..."face time".

My gosh you people with the mike bashing just can not get over it can you? I mean the guy makes some comments about people in the first couple of weeks (something EVERY other HG has done since), and becuase he was one of the first he gets the full wrath for anything he does. What exactly did he do that has not been done by most if not all others in the house? I think SHerries commetns from the chat today show that given a few weeks in that house, even she would have made ugly comments.

Of course Mike felt uncomfortable being there right when she left. He had no way of knowing if she was only into him while they were inside, or if she would even like to see him on the outside. He could have been put into a situation that would make him very uncomfortable if she had pulled away, or just gave him a hand shake.

Besides do you guys think Mike was making calls every five minutes trying to be there? Come on, BB knew that it could not hurt ratings any to have him there. Now the night Will leaves we will all watch to see if Shannon shows up for him. A very good move by the producers.

I can't believe you are arguing about the kind of flowers he bought.

I can't stand Mike, but get a life, you all!

My impression of Mike with Krista during Mikes last week is that they did connect and he was very supportive of her. His goodbye video to her seemed very sincere as well. I think Mike and Will geniuinely cared for her and I think he was there out of sincerity.

I am willing to give him credit for being there for a friend in need.

Mike may like her, but he ain't in it for the long haul. Stepdaddy Boogie? Not on your life, lol.
A day or two after he got out of the house, he was talking about getting some "Boston lovin'" to some radio show..."Opie & ???" I guess thats where the show was from.
Can you imagine him, catching up on the show, reading live feed transcripts? Krista planning their lives together...Boogie this, Boogie that, lol! He probably threw a fit.

I think the situation was mis-managed by CBS. I agree with Hypermom, they should have let Krista have her reunion with her brother and then brought Mike out.
I think he was a bit uneasy about what his reception would be after hearing Krista's answer regarding their future together.

I wonder----

I know the HG's have a contract with CBS.....things they can and can't say/do (or they lose their stipend)....

Any chance CBS compelled Mike to be there????

That would be awful........on so many levels....

Well he sure planted one on her...and maybe he was displaying residual embarrassment after witnessing Bunky's dramatic extravaganza?

I totally disagree. He looked nervous because of facing Krista. I think it was a touching moment.

Kizz, I was wondering when somebody would mention the big smooch. It seemed to me like Krista wasn't ready for the lip lock but then she succumbed--what else could she do? I thought, "yuck", it was just a tad bit over the top.

I think Krista is not used to men being kind to her. Those flowers may have been the "pick-me-up" she needed. The kiss looked to have been mutual to me.

You only hug one person at a time, people!

Family first, then acquaintances. What is the problem?

Who cares if they kiss?

If this isn't a mountain out of a molehill ...

Jhezzie, It's the Opie and Anthony show. I think they do that from Washington DC and NY.

I wouldn't take anything they say on that show too seriously though. Last year Eddie was on it so I tuned in to listen. I was totally grossed out when I realized they were requesting any girls between the ages of 18 and 20 show up at the studio and get naked for them.. and had live genital piercings going on during the show.. and they put the microphone there so you could hear it over the air. It was truly disgusting.

Sorry if this is off topic,but...........
Quite a few of you mention Shannnon being there for Will. hmmmmm............ya think he's really gonna be ousted,do ya?......Sure about that?
And what of JIM? ( If there's a thread somewhere,i'll check it out).
Back on topic- i didn't check out the live feeds, just watch the show and read this excellent site and all the extremely fantastic posts here.
Can someone let me know some of the reasons why he is so disliked by many? ( if there's a specific thread for that as well,i'll go to that).
A former housemate presenting latest evictee with flowers- thats pretty sweet. All i really know about him is that he's quite the opportunist when it comes to being a " star". But aren't they all?

Is it possible that Mike just seemed nervous because for the simple fact that his legal woes were made public and that makes a difference now.
He's not the " Star",rather he's the " One who got caught breaking in the Batman studio..." ( unsure of the specifics here).I don't know, just a thought.Yeah,okay-maybe a bit naive i am,but this documentary/psychodrama/soap opera for voyeurs sure has its share of twists and turns, doesn't it? And i can't help it-i still think it was sweet of him to be there for Krista!

Okay, I feel compelled to give my 2 cents!

First, I want to make it clear....I cannot stand Mike. I think he's It is understood that you do not like Mike. Having said that,

1) I give him credit for being there because I really don't think he wanted to be. Maybe air-time WAS his motive, but at least his presence spared Krista some humiliation.

2) I thought he handled an awkward situation well, having to wait aside while Krista was hugging Freddie.

3) I thought the flowers for Krista were kinda "flimsy." He could have done better.

I think that Mike did the lip-to-lip kiss because he has read this board, and saw all the comments about his deliberate avoidance of kissing her. Everyone here speculated that it was because of the ugly lip sore she was sporting at the time. I think that his advisors probably explained to him that she was just having an oral herpes outbreak and that she probably does not have an STD. I think he kissed her "live" to put to rest any speculation that his avoiding the kiss in the house had some significance.

I think he handled himself well under the circumstance he was put into.

Bringing both out together was really poor handling by CBS. The minute they came out together I thought... that's gonna be awkward... will Krista go right to Mike or her brother? I guess that is what the morons at CBS figured would be good TV... Krista picks Mike over her flesh and blood. Sure enough it was awkward.

Then the brother just hugging like Krista was getting ready to leave forever. He so inconsiderate... he didn't know that Mike was standing there odd man out? Either he has no sensitivity or he was purposefully being a cad.

I liked the way Mike did the patting thing... sort of like someone cutting in at a dance. His stock went way up in my book, viewing the way he took a bad situation and made the best of it.

Funny, Bohawkins-when Mike did that, my thought was "--opportunist!" IMO it was all very awkward, and CBS should have brought him out as a surprise after the brother-sister hugging tapered off.

There were photos of Mike and another woman, at Belly's, the night before Krista's eviction. Mike is a player and I'm sure listening to Krista talk about love and long term relationship scared him silly. He had to show up for her eviction to save face but, I'm sure he was very uncomfortable, especially with her big brother staring at him before the show.

Keiffer,
I think many dislike Mike because not only did he rip individual players but also made sweeping generalizations about everyone wno was not in CT being losers, freaks, etc etc.
I realize later some other HGs did some of the same thing but Mike seemsed to be doing it 1st (except for Justin)and Mike kept it up and kept it up. He was not only mean but also almost delusional in his belief that CT was sooooo far better, brighter, "stars" not extras etc. that
he seemed extra obnioxious.
