| Houseofpaine | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 02:56 pm and next week is the KEY week... You gotta think he'll be nominated... |
| Fantasyisland | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:17 pm What makes you think they aren't going to change the rules and let everybody participate next week for hoh? |
| Simonshado | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:19 pm I say we should all write CBS and DEMAND that we FREAKS vote for America's Choice HOH!!!! |
| Dulci | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:27 pm I thought back-to-back HoH eligibility starts with this contest? Anybody else hear this when they were reading BB rules book a few days ago? |
| Maryk | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:28 pm According to themselves and the rule book, starting next week Back-to-Back HOHs are allowed. |
| Floresmama | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:30 pm That is what I understood too. Hardy can take it from now on if he is able. |
| What555456 | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 03:58 pm Hardy doesn't have to be able to "take it." It just has to be handed to him like this week's was. It is CBS's decision, not anyone else's. This show is just as rigged as the Supreme Court was when Bush was appointed, rather than elected, President. It just was more easily seen this week. |
| Sunriverose | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:01 pm If it is true that they can do back to back HOH starting this week, then the contest uesterday and today was more than rigged, it was double rigged in Hardy's favor. I guess CBS has decided on their winner. |
| Mahrajah | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:04 pm every week is a key week my friend.. i think they all should be tied up and thrown into a large bowl of guano |
| Hardywins | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:21 pm Even the last contest between the last 3 standing is critical. Even then the winner will probably be able to put Hardy out. If Hardy or Nicole doesn't win every remaining HOH contest; then there is a possibility that Hardy will go out. Supposedly the last HOH winner will only have 2 to choose from and will pick the one to go. But ? knows for sure? |
| Hardyfan | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 04:26 pm <<Hardy doesn't have to be able to "take it." It just has to be handed to him like this week's was. It is CBS's decision, not anyone else's. This show is just as rigged as the Supreme Court was when Bush was appointed, rather than elected, President. It just was more easily seen this week. >> While I completely agree about the Supreme Court, I personally find the debate about CBS "fixing" the show tiresome. Isn't there a thread for this? I already left one board which seemed intent on accusing Arnold Shapiro of all manner of malfeasance, including but not limited to destroying the very fabric of society with his "fixed" show designed to show humans at their worst. Yawn. I just like to watch it 'cuz it's fun! |
| Simonshado | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 05:02 pm I say the next HOH contest should be a spelling bee. (Bunky is a writer.) |
| Maryk | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 05:20 pm Hardy won a spelling bee when he was in 2nd grade. He usually answers the questions on spellings during their game of cranium. I'm for that game but people might say its unfair again. |
| Tmleafs4life | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 05:26 pm Ok, its funny how some people think. First they thought CBS rigged the show so Krista would win (the people who said that didn't like her) and now people are saying CBS is rigging the show so that Hardy can win (again said by the people who dislike him). I don't believe in BB/CBS conspiracies. I believe in MANY conspiracies, but not this one... sorry folks. Hey when my Leafs lose, I say its all a conspiracy... but it isn't really. Is it???? *hums theme to jaws* |
| Sfnative | Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 06:23 pm Simonshado, I'm a writer, (published) but I am a terrible speller. Hardy is an extremely good speller. |
| Maryk | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 06:03 pm I was wrong. Hardy cannot compete next week is confirmed by Arnold Shapiro productions. From Aspproductions@aol.com Wed, 22 Aug 2001 17:10:58 -0700 No, the rules have not changed on this (or on anything else, actually, contrary to popular belief!). Hardy CANNOT compete next week, as no one can be HoH twice in a row. In the LAST competition, EVERYONE can compete, even whoever was the most recent HoH. Feel free to write back if you need clarification or if you have other questions. Thanks for watching and take care!

| Amai | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 07:08 pm Oh goodness me. Thank you Maryk for tracking down that information. Hardy cannot be HoH next week, but whoever wins next week's can participate in the final HoH. Well that is interesting. HardyFan - I hear you buddy! If people are so keen to discuss conspiracies, let's get a thread going on JFK, for pete's sake!! Anyway, after watching tonight's episode, I certainly didn't think that whatever experience Hardy had had really helped him much. He nearly drowned his car in the pool! That was funny, as was the extremely close time (only 13 seconds' difference). |
| Bbintervention | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 07:13 pm Wow - great info. That changes things a bit as for some reason I was sure that Hardy could win HOH next. Very interesting... :-) |
| Llkoolaid | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:20 pm I have asked this question on several other conversations and haven't gotten an answer so could someone please explain to me how the next hoh's are going to be done. While I am at it how many weeks are left? Where is a moderator when you need one. lol just kidding |
| Mahrajah | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:24 pm all i know is hardy cant compete in the next HOH you cant comepete in back to back HOH's if you won the first HOH comp... the rest of the stuff someone else gonna have to explain cause i dont know that other s**t... hope this much helps ya |
| Llkoolaid | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:29 pm I thought I heard at some point that they could compete back to back and I was wondering if that is true when does it start? |
| Wink | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:29 pm The answer can be found in the thread titled "At least Hardy can't be HOH next week". |
| Kiari | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:30 pm At some point YES they can compete in back to back HOH comp's we just do not know when that starts. |
| Llkoolaid | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:32 pm Thanks Wink I looked for a thread that would give me the answer but I missed that one. Sorry |
| Wink | Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 08:35 pm You're welcome koolaid |
| Hardywins | Thursday, August 23, 2001 - 06:28 am Well, THAT IS good news. This week Hardy puts Bunky out. Next week Nicole noms Wil v. Monica. Wil goes. The last competition: Mon, Nic, and Hardy all compete; the winner decides who stays in the house with him/her. The great beauty of all of this is that Nicole and Hardy NEVER have to nominate each other. Think of the stress and strain of Hardy nominating Nicole or vice versa. Only Hardy will go to the end without having ever been nominated. provided of course Nicole does her duty and wins HOH next week. |
| Simonshado | Thursday, August 23, 2001 - 07:45 am Hmmmm, so I guess you have a very tired editor, eh, Sfnative? Damn, what kind of competition can we have in which Hardy does not excel in some way? How about a vocabulary test? I am still chortling over his use of "solstice" and "innuendo." |
| Espen | Thursday, August 23, 2001 - 08:23 am Interesting confirmation from ASP.. that means that the Royal alliance only has a 1 in 3 chance of both making it to the final 4, as the two remaining of Bunky, Will and Monica are almost certain to nominate *both* Hardy and Nicole.. I beleive even Bunky (assuming he survives next week)would do that at this stage, since he would really have little to lose. I don't have anything personally against either Hardy or Nicole, but it does make the game a little more interesting.. |
| Spunkybb2 | Thursday, August 23, 2001 - 09:37 pm Oh but he's still safe because Nicole will win HOH and will put Monica and Will up. Monica is gone and Hardy, Nicole and Will are left. Hardy wins HOH and gets Will out. Hardy and Nicole the last two left. Hardy wins! Why don't we just hand him the money and close the game now?? |
| Sanfranjoshfan | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 12:12 am There IS way to make the next HOH competition a lot more equal.....if CBS would just get a clue from Fox's "Boot Camp". If they would just design some HOH competition that, unbeknownst to the HG, they would have to REPEAT and the winner would be the one that IMPROVED his/her OWN time the most....well, that could be a fair contest. (They did this in "Boot Camp" and it shocked the hell out of the two that had to go through it, because they didn't know they were trying to better their OWN times until the start of the second part of the competition!) In any case, I SO want Monica to win it next time (assuming Bunky is gone by then) and if they design a fair test, then it is *possible*. If nothing else, she could nom Hardy and Nicole and force Will to choose, and he would choose Hardy to be evicted. The best thing about this is that at least Nicole and Hardy won't BOTH end up in the final two. |
| C1mag | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 03:04 am Would someone explain how they will decide who actaully goes after this nomination is over? If you have only 4 players left and 2 are nominated and one is HoH then there is only 1 person voting for eviction. How does that work? Does this mean the one who doesn't get HoH or nominated is actually in the strongest position? |
| Fruitbat | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 04:20 am C1mag...on another thread there is a response to an email that a poster sent to Shapiro's office. They will not disclose how the end is going to work other that saying that all get to compete for Hoh when there are only 3 left. What happens with 4 is the big question with no answer in sight until the live show, I guess. Sanfran, I like that too. Will winning Hoh would accomplish the same thing. Either is fine with me. I am rooting for Will or Nicole. |
| Floresmama | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 07:56 am The email from ASP clearly stats that Hardy can not compete for HOH on the next(8/30) live show. If Nicole wins HOH then(wish personally hope she doesn't) she WOULD be able to compete in the next(last)HOH competition. |
| Webe40 | Friday, August 24, 2001 - 08:05 am Hope Mon wins HOH next week. The house would be like a hornets nest and someone is bound to get stung. |
