Question:
I cannot imagine spending so much time and effort on a website that was about someone I just saw on TV..does anyone understand why the hate site even exists? It's meanspirited, but it's very well done in a technical sense..my question is WHY someone felt compelled to create it.
This website actually frightens me with it's raw hatred. Does anyone else feel this way, or am I over reacting?

studio--Here is the webmistresses(spamgirls) words on how the site got started--found on realitytrash.com Why did I start Banish-Krista.com?

Because Krista doesn't like SPAM, and my nickname is Spamgirl. Because people started calling ME Krista and her Kristy. It was a joke at first, I started the site before the house guests even went into the house! But slowly and surely Krista started pissing people off - whether it be by her backstabbing or lying, or by her accent and "grammar", or by her forgetfulness that her daughter exists, or by her partner choices... the list really goes on and on, but the hits started going up and up.

So that's about it about the site

I have to agree Studioblue. I checked it out a couple of times when it was mentioned in General Discussions. I can understand people being passionate about a HG but that site seems to be a bit over the edge. I haven't looked at it in a few weeks because I just didn't want to give them the hits.

Nancy-first of all, thanks so much for the info,
the explanation Spamgirl gives does not justify
her website's intensity,to me at least, but it made for interesting reading, that's for sure.
NOW-I saw your post on the clever SNs board and I
found your dry sense of humour very engaging. It so happens that I am a fan of the NANCY in the comic strip and I saw a pillow with her image in
a Mary Englebreit magazine which I am going to make for the first IRL friend that I meet named NANCY.
=-
Ark-thank you for your comments, I have the same
dilemma that you have, I don't want to give her the hits, but,at the same time I want to keep an eye on her,if Krista were my kid I would call the
cops...I just would want to KNOW what was going on with the webmistress.

I am not a fan of that website. Fortunately for all of us we can just not go there if we don't like it. I care more about this website and the attitudes of the people here since this is my home board.

It's called freedom of speech. If someone has the resources, then more power to them. We, as bulletin board posters are exercising that right every time we post, it would be hypocritical to criticize Spamgirl's endeavors.

I'm not so sure about that Oracle, I exercise a lot of rights everyday, however I am criticized for doing so from time to time ...that does not
make those who are my critics hypocrites.
I understand your point Azriel, but then I would be like those people who condemn movies without seeing them-without seeing what it's about I can't tell whether it's entertaining or objectionable.
LOL,Nancy-but I never thought that she was cherubic...more of a little mischeif maker esp when she hooks up with Sluggo! <G>
