Cast Bios|Tim ("Joe")|Ingrid ("Jane")|Amanda ("Jane" #2)|Episode Recaps|Joe Schmo Home Episode Two recap: 6/22/04 The show begins with the producers scrambling to keep Ingrid from figguring out things are fake - they consider banishing her then decide not to - they coach the cast to stop playing "Dodgeball" with Ingrid. So we see the group sitting around for what appears to be breakfast or just drinks - and Ambrosia takes the bull by the horns and makes Ingrid thinks she has a problem with her - Ingrid asks her to come talk with her alone in theory to work out their differences. Once alone Ambrosia runs right at Ingrid and her paranoid thoughts about the show - she basically says "what did you expect??" and talks about how Ingrid is screwing things up with all her talk of the show (Last Chance For Love) seeming strange. Ambrosia's tactic's seem to work as Ingrid agrees to lighten up a bit. Ingrid confesses to the camera that the conspiracy theorist in her will never be gone but she will play along even if there is some greater plot out there to embarrass her. As the show returns TJ recounts to Tim that Bryce had hypnotized him to help him sleep - Tim chalks it up to the beers TJ drank but Bryce says the beers would have made it harder. The whole point of this is because the plan is to get TIm to allow Bryce to try to hypnotize him. Tim ain't buying it...... but he lets Bryce try to do it to both him and TJ. As one screen shows this going on we see Tim commenting that he wasn't buying it for a second. Bryce waves a stick in front of their eyes and says whenever he says "dogpaddle" they will get the urge to itch. Tim cracks up but Bryce presses that it worked and he will prove it later on. Bryce relates to the camera that he thinks Tim bought it as strange as it might seem - at least he thinks Tim believes that he, Bryce thinks he can do it. TJ says that he gets Tim to agree to pretend it worked. Cut to a meal where the cast is all sitting around a table - Bryce mentions going out to the pool and dogpaddling and TIm and TJ pretend to be itchy.... Everyone is "in" on the joke on Bryce and "Bryce" pretends to be impressed with his abilities. Then it is revealed by Tim that they were faking it and Bryce acts upset. Ingrid comments to the camera that what was funny (fooling Bryce) wasn't anymore. One note - as the show goes to commercial we are told that later will be "The most shocking eviction ceremony yet" (hehe). Monticore (The falcon - named after the lion that attacked Roy Horn by the way) lands on "Derek's arm with a note that reveals the next "Twist" - 'someone is going to get lubed up.' - They will be playing for a prize which is a trip (in Joe Schmo One all the trips won ended up going to Matt - the original Jow at the end of the show). "Derek" (Ralph Garman) also recveals that one of the guys will be eliminated by Piper that night. This is followed by a behind the scenes discussion about the falcon - and clips showing that it did not land where it was supposed to in rehearsals - instead it flew smack into a door next to "Derek." Ralph aka Derek said the bird was insane. He says the storyline was to be that Derek and Monticore did not get along, Ralph relates that it was very easy to act out this part of the storyline. A text blub comments that: "No falcons were harmedOn to a discussion around a table - for some reason Ingrids breasts are talked about - Ingrid reveals she has named them Bertha and Louise.... everyone laughs and then for some reason they talk next to "Cammy" and Tim suggests the names "Baskin" and "Robbins" for her breasts. Cammie tells the camera that Tim came up with the idea because that is where she is supposed to work.
Once again as the show cuts to commercial we are teased about the eviction ceremony - this time it will be "the most unbelievable one yet." The cast is then given a tour of the "winery" that is part of the estate they are on. "Derek" gives the tour. During the process of the tour "Ernie" who is supposed to be associated with a wine family kept chiming in much to "Derek's" annoyance. They then contnue out to the patio for a wine tasting. During the wine tasting "Austin" (the 'bachelor')pays more attention to "Cammy" as planned. Ingrid comments that she felt bad for the other women. Tim explains that he felt he needed to make a good impression on "Piper" (the 'bachelorette') and the other guys try to as well. Bryce goes over the top asking Piper if she believe in love at first sight. Again the commercial tease where soon we will be treated to "the most outrageous tease of the most shocking eviction yet!" (God I love this show!!!!) For some unknown reason (well ok - I am sure the main reason was to put Ingrid and Tim in yet another silly situation) the group is told they will be stomping grapes. Before they begin "Elenor" has a bit of a break down over the extra attention Austin has been paying to Cammy. Ingrid comments it made her feel bad and uncomfortable, Tim says he thinks Elenor is setting herself up to be eliminated. Gerald, who apparently is also supposed to be a 'germaphobe' has to get his 'aquasocks' before stomping. Derek tells the group that Piper and Austin get to choose whom they will stomp grapes with (each vat holds two people). Piper selects Tim, Austin asks Cammy, again perpetuating the idea that he is hot for Cammy. Bryce has no one to stomp with and pouts. Ernie takes off his shirt and explains to the camera that his character is supposed to be a bit like the characters from Average Joe - but also rich and well bred. He also relates that Piper is supposed to be the typical shallow female so she is completely turned off by him. Cammy 'accidently' loses her toga (they were all wearing them for the stomping) and is left in her bikini much to Austins delight. Ingrid says that she and Cammy are not competing because they do not have the same qualities. Finally after another commercial its on to the "most shocking eviction yet." The cast stands in the eviction room and waits for Derek.. and waits.... and waits...... AND WAITS!!!!! He walks in and announces that this is the first flame of love eviction ceremony. the five men are instructed to pick up huge candles that have been sitting in front of them - the phallic symbolization is obvious - Ingrid about loses it as Derek comments on the ment standing 'erect' with their candles. Piper will only light the ones of the men she wishes to stay. Actually he says the man whose 'whick remains untouched' must go. The men give their final plea - TJ holds his candle suggestively and days there is one big reason she should keep him (Ingris is almost laughing). Geralds comment is simple as is Tims and Ernies. Bryce is in tears and has written a poem which he reads to Piper. The eviction commences - Derek explains that if piper does not "dip your whick in her flame of love" you are evicted (omg - this is almost funnier than the pearl necklace from last week!!!!). TJ presents his wick and Piper
lights it.
Ernie thanks everyone and says his goodbyes. He says at least he is not the first to go - Derek points out he is the first MAN to go (of course Derek is getting his tiny bit of revenge for all of Ernie's commenting over the past couple of days). The tease for next weeks show again shows the producers scrambling as they deal with a doubting Ingrid. |
