3/31/04: Tonight:  The only non-repeat show is American Idol 3 which will be on from 8:30-9pm.  My money would be on John Stevens going - if he doesn't then he just has a bigger die-hard fan base out there than some of the others.

Other:  Yikes - I turn my head for 5 minutes and Fox pulls "Playing It Straight."  Apparently the show has been removed from Friday's line-up due to poor ratings.  Funny I thought the combo of Playing It Straight and Forever Eden might help both shows.  Now Forever Eden is on its own to sink or swim this Friday.  Fox did say they plan on bringing the show back this summer to finish out its run.  More details and links/pictures on my Playing It Straight page.

About being eliminated last week on American Idol 3, Matthew Rogers says in an interview posted on Zap2it, "Let's face it, when you have vocalists like George, Fantasia, LaToya, Diana, those people are just in another category," he admits. "They're awesome. My plans were to finish sixth, fifth, fourth, something like that, get enough pub to where I could use it as a stepping stone to get into acting."  (Full Article)

Last Night: American Idol 3 - Several not-so-good performances tonight.  John Stevens (the redhead) was really weak in my opinion.  Fantasia should win (The Whole Thing) if it were up to me - even though she sounds A LOT like Macy Gray (not a bad thing there are just times she sounds like a clone).  The Three best performances tonight were Jasmine, Fantasia, and George.

Camile Velasco  1-866-436-5701 (For Once In My Life)
Jon Peter Lewis    1-866-436-5702 (This Old Heart of Mine)
Latoya London    1-866-436-5703 (Ooo Baby Baby)
Amy Adams        1-866-436-5704 (Dancing In The Streets)
John Stevens        1-866-436-5705 (My Girl)
Jennifer Hudson   1-866-436-5706 (Heat Wave)
Jasmine Trias       1-866-436-5707 (You're All I Need To Get By)
Diana DeGarmo  1-866-436-5708 (Do You Love Me Now)
Fantasia Barrino  1-866-436-5709 (I Heard It Through The Grapevine)
George Huff         1-866-436-5710 (Ain't To Proud Beg)

3/30/04 Tonight:  I'll be watching American Idol 3 - the theme tonight is Motown - Ashford & Simpson (“Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,”  and many other songs) will be guest hosts and the the legendary Funk Brothers will serve as the house band.  10 contestants remain - I wil post the songs they sing and the phone numbers to call as soon as I see them.

Other:  I created a site map - if you ever got confused wandering around this site - or wanted to just see a list of all the different pages I have created - take a look at it here.

Yesterday was a BUSY day for me and Reality Show news.

  • Check the Forever Eden pages for news - the show will be on FRIDAY this week following Playing it Straight and the next guest has been revealed (hint - he's been on every episode).
  • I got an e-mail from Karyn Bryant (Junkyard Wars) - just a reply to a question I asked but still kinda cool :)
  • I also received an e-mail about a new Reality Show on A&E that I had either forgotten about or not heard of.  "Family Plots" is about a mortuary business and begins April 19th - sounds interesting.
  • Finally I received information about the release of the Celebrity Mole Hawaii DVD.
Last Night: Average Joe III: Brief recap.....  The show began with the ladies competing for a date with Adam by assembling portable basketball goals.  Christine won.  Tracilee complained to the camera about how no one was helping her.

Then they proceeded inside and sat in front of laptops where they played a simulated stock trading game.  Adam helped each girl but in the end it seems he helped Samantha and she went from being down $17,000 to being up $21,000 and winning.  So Samanthat won a date with Adam as well.  Tracilee won an ice-cream date with Adam because of her heart in the bull fighting (last week) and her perseverence with the goal post.

While the other women sat around their place and complained about Tracilee, Adam and Tracilee had their mini-date.  They kissed and the coyotees howled again.  When she returned to the house the other ladies were at, she didn't divulged any info about the date.

After a commercial break we watched Adam and Christine's date which began with go-carts and ended with a romantic boat ride.  As on all his other dates Adam kissed the girl and sparks flew.  Christine related that Adam's kisses gave her butterflies.  Back at the house Tracilee got catty with the other girls.  Tracilee explains that she did not come on the show to make friends - she came on to meet Adam.

The next morning Adam meets Samantha at a golf course.  Surprise surprise - Zach from the original Average Joe has arrived to "sabatage" Adam's date. While Adam and Samantha golf we see Zach sneaking around and apparently causing problems: adding weight to Adam's golf bag, loosening straps, and the final act, sending their golf cart into the lake (while Adam was trying to putt).  Frankly I don't even know if Zach was really there at the same time - it seemed like it was all pre-arranged.

Adam and Samantha head off to a sauna and dinner - meanwhile back at the girls house they settle down to watch the final episode of Average Joe 2: Hawaii.  The doorbell rings and its Brian Worth from the show.  He watches the finale with the girls and all seem to shed a few tears as Larissa chooses Gil and rejects Brian.  Meanwhile Adam and Samantha have finished dinner and are dancing and kissing.  Kissing.... kissing (a lot).

As Average Joe 2 ends they see the promo for their own show and see all the girls Adam has kissed.  Some of the girls are pretty upset because they haven't even been on a date with him yet. The next night at the pre-elimination mixer Adam finds out that the girls had seen the promo and the kissing.Adam was really nervous but it turns out the girls for th emost part let him off the hook.

Cut to the eliminations.  Adam is sending home five ladies - the remaiing ladies will move into the mansion with Adam.  First lady gone is Heather Canton - Adam tells her she is so pretty and he knows she won't have a problem finding anyone.  Second lady leaving.... Jennifer Lifshitz  - they exchange nice words and she leaves - she says she does not regret her experience.  Third to go.....  Jennifer Abrams  - Fourth to go - Courtney Butler - she says "I just wish..." - I think it is about the fact that they never had a date. Fifth to go is Tracilee Benardello.  Adam says that he feels it is now a free-for-all.  Then we see a teaser for "Scenes from the next 'Average Joe 2: Hawaii"  (WHAT?  I think someone goofed - lol).

During the teaser for the finale - we see that Adam must eliminate three women and bring the other two to meet his folks.  When he brings them to meet them it turns out that his family prefer one women and Adam the other.  They seem to feel that one girl would be better suited to him over the long run vs a short time.

House of Dreams:  The summary was on the A&E site yesterday morning - Viveca wins and Mike gets $20,000.  Mike seemed pretty happy with the cash.

3/29/04 Tonight: Average Joe 3:  "Jealousy erupts when the women spy Adam on his private dates. Plus, two special guests make surprise appearances."  (Blurb from the official page). Next weeks finale is two hours long and Adam will bring two women home to meet his folks.  Since he has 10 women left at the moment I am guessing he will eliminate at least 5 tonight and then maybe 3 more early on next week.

House of Dreams - The final show is tonight - there will be a lot of re-hashing of what happend during the series, then the jury will deliberate and one person will win between Viveca and Mike.  As I discovered last week A & E already has the recap of tonights episode posted - so if you want a spoiler as to who wins go check it out (I did).  I know who wins (not gonna spoil if for you) - I will say the loser gets $20,000.  Tonights Episode Recap Here (spoilers!!)

Other: An Interesting article on "Reality Show" casting says in part, "The casting of reality shows, once an intuitive, on-the-fly endeavor, has become much more of a science, with a growing set of protocols and rituals.   Several producers have hired psychologists to help them with the vetting process. And to avoid the unscripted scandals that could run afoul of the decency standards of an increasingly agitated public and the Federal Communications Commission, both producers and networks are investing more time and money into systematically investigating their contestants' backgrounds. "  (Full Text) - Ilovereality's Casting Page

Last Night: Mike Hall won the Dream Job on ESPN.  The voting was not done via phone- it was only via text messaging or over the net.  In the first hour Zack and Maggie were cut.   So the second hour was all about Mike and Aaron.  They both seemed the same to me - and since Mike went before Aaron that might have helped him get more votes - who knows.  I hope to see more of Zack as he was the most original of the final four.  30 minutes later during Sports Center Mike answered questions to set his pay for the year.  He started at $70,000  and added $5,000 for every correct question.  The 1st time he missed a question the quiz was over AND he would lose $10,000.  Mike answered five questions correctly and then decided to stop - so he will be making $95,000 for his year on Sports Center.

From last week on Trading spaces: Home Free - the Light Blue team won the voting so they move on and will face the winner of this weeks show.  The two teams this week are the Red team (Smitty & Angela) and the Dark Blue team (Scott & Tammy) - voting is open until 2am Eastern.  You can go here to vote: VOTING PAGE

3/28/04 Tonight:  Used to be Sundays were void of "reality shows" - tonight is far from that with at least four I hope to catch.

At 8pm (at least for me) - Trading Spaces: Home Free and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition will battle it out - I'll most likely just tape one and watch the other.  I like the game/contest aspect of Trading Spaces, but I also like the cool stuff they do on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.  By the way if you like the latter be sure to check out Monster House on the Discovery Channel on Mondays - its very similar.

Then at 9pm begins the two hour finale of Dream Job.  4 people are left - one of them willl be the new host of sports center by the end of the night.  This will be a live phone in vote situation.  Not "vote tonight and see the results tommorow" - they announce the winner at the end of the show.

Also at 9pm is Episode 3 of High School Reunion.

Other: Open casting calls in Boston this Tuesday and Philadelphia on April 2nd for Big Brother - see the Big Brother V Page for details.

Last Night: On Nashville Star II - no one was eliminated - apparently there was a problem with the phones last week so everyone was back to sing songs they had written (or co-written). Not going to list the songs since you would have never heard them before - just the numbers to call for each name.  Next week two people will be eliminated based on the phone calls to make up for the problems this week.  Just for the record I think George Canyon is going to win it all - I have felt that way for a couple weeks and I am dead sure of it now.  Phone lines are open until around 2am Eastern.  The two contestants with the lowest number of calls will be eliminated at the beginning of next weeks shows.

Matthew Lindahl 1-866-978-2701
Jennifer Hicks 1-866-978-2702
George Canyon 1-866-978-2703
Sheila Marshall 1-866-978-2704
Brent Keith 1-866-978-2705
Marty Slayton 1-866-978-2706
Lance Miller 1-866-978-2707
Brad Cotter 1-866-978-2708

3/27/04 Tonight: Nashville Star II - I'll post info on who was eliminated and the songs they sang later tonight.  I've said it before but if you like country this show is much better than American Idol in my opinion.  The folks have more talent on average and most have more experience.

Other: I just noticed something on the Playing It Straight official site...  the guys are listed in a picture a certain way - and as of last night the 3 gay guys are pictured on the top row and the 3 straight guys are on the bottom row.  One additional guy that is probably gay (based on his verbal flub last night), Bradly, is also on the top row.  Now I have not been checking the pictures to see if they are shuffling them - but if there aren't it looks like you can see for yourself who is gay & straight.  Check my Playing It Straight page to see the picture.

Forever Eden:  Doesn't look good for this show - it placed fifth for the 9pm hour Thursday night.  It was beat out by Apprentice, Basketball, Figure Skating, AND Wrestling (yikes).  Apprentice & basketball are over in a couple weeks but when you get beat by figure skating is there much hope???

Last Night: Playing it Straight:  The show opens with the revelation that Eddie decided to leave the show - it seems the goings that were shown last week was all too much for him.  For those that missed it, Eddie was the subject of much of last weeks show as Ryan decided that Eddie was gay and proceeded to try to "out" him.  What ended up happening was Eddie apparently hitting on Ryan (at least it seemed that way to me) - a fact Eddie denied.  BUT - as the hostess asks everyone what they thought Eddie was (Straight or Gay) - she reveals he was indeed Gay.  After a camp-out  where Bradly talked of winning a million (oops Bradly - only the gay guys would win a milion - you meant HALF a million) - and lots of speculating - Jackie eliminates Chad - and her guess was right - he is gay.  So now Jackie has eliminated 3 straight guys and 3 gay guys.  It is implied that Chris is thought to be Gay by everyone and that Jackie is just keeping him around - Jackie says she would have eliminated Bradly if Eddie had not already left.

3/26/04 Tonight: Playing it Straight: Ten guys remain - I am guessing two more will go tonight. If the gay/straight ratio was even at the start then Jackie is in serious trouble - only four straight guys would remain.

Last NightForever Eden:  Recap and cast info in my Forever Eden Area.   Short and sweet - Shawna was let go on a episode that was very similar to Paradise Hotel.

Mad Mad House: Not a whole lot to say about last nights show - it was interesting to see Don (The 'Vampire') get huffy at Art (TheTatoo'd guy) for waking him in the middle of the day.  There seem to be a lot of Don fans out there - I personally see him as a Marylyn Manson fan that is looking for as much attention as he can get.  The guy always seems to be posing for the camera.  Tim won immunity in a cage contest that reminded me of the one from Big Brother IV and in the end Bonnie was let go amid quite a few tears.

The Apprentice:  The losing team was Amy, Katrina and Nick. The competition was to register gamblers at the Taj Mahal and the team whose gamblers spent the most would win.  The losers registered more people but the other team (Protégé) went after the "High Rollers" so they actually won.  In the board room Amy saved Nick and she and Katrina battled  it out.  The final decision by Donald was to fire Katrina because her track record was not as good as Amy's - he felt both had done poorly in this competition.

3/25/04 Tonight: Forever Eden:  FInally we get to see Episode 5 - I am getting a bad feeling that the placement of the show on Thursdays against The Apprentice - but that show will be over on April 15th.  So perhaps Forever Eden can hang on until then.  My Forever Eden Area will have a recap of episode five either as I watch it or soon after.

The Apprentice: The six remaining folks go to Atlantic city for some type of gambling related challenge.  Amy and Katrina get into it (not in a good way) - Amy and Nick get into it (in a good way) - Donald finally hears about the fireworks between Amy and Nick and someone gets the boot as a result of a "big mistake."

Mad Mad House: Hmmmm  well all three shows are on at the same time - luckilly this one re-peats 2 hours later so thats when I plan on catching it.  Interesting couple of days for me because last month I was asked to post casting info about season 2 and this past Tuesday I was asked to remove it - no word on in they have already cast a season 2 or if there will not be one.  I would suspect there will because the show has been getting pretty good ratings for the Sci Fi channel.

Other:  I have noticed a LOT of people end up here looking for information on Jennifer Lifshitz from Average Joe III. I have posted a link to one news article on her on my Average Joe III page under her picture.  When I find any more interesting ones I will be sure to include them.  The article I found revealed she is a University of Michigan graduate student working on a masters degree in social work.

Last Night: American Idol 3 - Bottom 3 - Matthew, Camile and Diana -  then...  Diana was sent back - so the bottom 2 are Matt and Camile...   and after another dramatic commercial pause  Matthew Rogers was eliminated - wow - didn't expect that - not that I thought he was one of the better singers..... and WOW - only a 30 minute American Idol - cool.

Survivor All-Stars - the show was basically a re-cap with a few extra's thrown in - but nothing major.

3/24/04 Tonight: Survivor All-Stars - You'll find it on again tonight - I'd watch this first and then tun over to Fox to watch the last 30 minutes of....

American Idol 3 - I am guessing that Jasmine, Jennifer or Camile might be eliminated tonight.  While Jon or John didn't have very good showings (in my opinion), there are still many more women than men so the odds of the guys staying in for a bit longer are good.

Other: A charity event this weekend in L.A.  featuring many Reality Show Stars - P.S. I Love Your Foundation 4th Annual Celebrity Red, Black & White Casino Night Gala

Last Night: American Idol 3 .....  The theme was country - most of the singers did not sing in the country style - some that did were Diana, Latoya and Amy.

Diana DeGarmo 1-866-436-5701 (A Broken Wing)
George Huff        1-866-436-5702 (I Can Love You Like That)
Fantasia Barrino 1-866-436-5703 (Always On My Mind)
John Stevens       1-866-436-5704 (King of the Road)
Camile Velasco  1-866-436-5705 (Desperado)
Jennifer Hudson  1-866-436-5706 (No One Else On Earth)
Jon Peter Lewis    1-866-436-5707 (She Believes In Me)
Jasmine Trias      1-866-436-5708 (Breathe)
Matthew Rogers  1-866-436-5709 (Amazed)
Latoya London    1-866-436-5710 (Ain't Going Down 'til The Sun Comes Up)
Amy Adams        1-866-436-5711 (Sin Wagon)

3/23/04 Tonight: American Idol 3: Then there were eleven......  ok.... Fox is starting to get on my nerves - I might just have to take a break from this show and come back when its down to something like four.  I mean we have how many more weeks of this?  And tommorow night they are going to bring out Kim Locke to perform thus dragging the show out even longer.....  yikes!

America's Next Top Model: April was eliminated last week - this week is the final show - "One stressed model takes a razor to her hair, one model's shoe breaks and a final fashion show determines who" wins. ;)

High School Reunion 2: I have Sunday's show on tape somewhere but maybe I will just watch the re-peat tonight.

Other: If you didn't already read it - Forever Eden was not on last night - it has been moved to Thursdays where it looks like it will be up against The Apprentice, at least for a couple weeks - not very good for the ratings - I am just thinking Fox has already invested in 25 episodes (and we have only seen 4) so they might as well hold out a bit longer.

An interesting article entitled "Reality's Lucky Losers"

Average Joe's Adam Mesh reports he is "dating someone" - from an brief note in the Washington Post, Adam "spoke last night at the United Jewish Communities Young Leadership Conference in Washington."  Link to Article (scroll down to "squibs")

And another article about the woman that won Adam's heart:  "Mesh was downright giddy when he admitted that the girl he chose truly stole his heart.  "I found more than I was hoping to find with her," said Mesh, whose love match will be revealed in the final episode, airing April 5.  "I was looking to have fun and see what happens. I didn't think one girl would just run away with it like she did.  "[It's] hard to explain in words, but it's like you don't have to worry about love anymore because you're just happy."  (Full Article)

Real World Goings-Ons....  I must admit I don't follow this show like I used to but apparently there has been a lot of developments going on around the next season which was/is supposed to take place in Philadelphia - apparently some unions have been protesting the renovations of the house to be used and then the producers said 'fine, we'll leave and look elsewhere' - and proceeded to check out some place in Texas and now maybe things are being resolved....  anyways here are several articles from the Philadelphia Inquirer (Each link will open in a new window).

Last NightAverage Joe: Once again, this is only a 4 episode show so Adam doesn't have a lot of time to be messin around.  Thus when some more former cast members of the original Average Joe show up with 5 bikini-clad women Adam quickly puts them back on the bus saying he has already found 4 or 5 women he is interested in and it would be unfair to introduce more.   Was it staged?  We'll never know - one of the beefier guys from AGI did comment that it was sort of a "charachter test" for Adam and he passed.  I skipped over the first part of the show but it was just girls competing for dates with Adam - Rachel and Amy won these and both ended up kissing Adam in the hot tub (something that appears may come back to haunt him next week).  There was a little cattiness among the women but no major blow ups.  Brittany revealed that she has a six year old son which took Adam by surprise.  In the end Adam had to eliminate 5 more ladies and they were : Summer Wesson, Brittany Ducker, Rochelle Finkelstein, Elizabeth Griggs, and Anna Merrill (pictures here).  Brittany seemed to imply that Adam was perhaps not doing right by eliminating her after her revelation, but hey even Adam said its just something he wasn't ready for and even if she was not looking for a father for her child (which she said she wasn't) it would still be adding one more element to the relationship and that is not something Adam was looking for at the moment.  He really has ben coming across as a decent guy - hope it doesn't all go to his head.

House of Dreams: This was the second-to-last show - so the key ceremony had its own little twist.  The two people who got the red hats were Mike and Flor.  Thus Viveca and Naomi get to vote one of them off the show.  The twist is that the person NOT voted off will then get to pick either Viveca or Naomi to go to the final two (make sense?  it will when I am done).  After a visit from family and friends (the surprise visits that were teased last week), the negotiating begins.  For a full description you can read A&E's recap - lets just make it short and sweet and say that Viveca and Naomi  voted to keep Mike.  Mike in turn decided he had a better shot against Viveca so he eliminated Naomi.  Flor and Naomi jump in the boat together and each giggle with excitement when they find the checks for $10,000.  Next week the jury will return to award the house to either Mike or Viveca.

3/22/04  Tonight: Average Joe 3: With 15 ladies still in the running and only 3 shows to go (the show is only 4 episodes long) - expect a bunch to get tossed tonight.

House of Dreams: YIKES!!!  Stay away from the official page - they already have tonights re-cap posted!!!  So I know who is nominated of the 4 remaining folks.  I didn't read it all though.

OOPS!!!! Forever Eden: The show has finally been moved to Thursdays.  So the next show is Thursday 3/25.  Recap and info can/will be found on my Forever Eden pages.

My apologies - its been a long weekend and I have not been able to update the site - I will do so over the next day or so.  Its nice to know that some folks actually do come back and check up on it from time to time.

Big Brother Open Casting Call... I am sure there will be many more but here is one in Boise ID on April 6th - Link with info.

A bit of gossip about 2 of the folks on Dream Job from the New York Post: "Insiders say Mike Hall and Maggie Haskins......have set tongues-a- waggin' with their not-so- subtle behavior. "  (link to full article)

Those that follow the same shows I do probably know what has gone on but just in case here is what has happened on the shows I follow in a very short list....

The Apprentice:  No one was eliminated as this was just a re-cap show summarizing the previous episodes.

Mad Mad House: Brent was eliminated.

Playing It Straight: Ryan and Alex were eliminated - Ryan reveals he is straight, Alex said he was gay.  So far Jackie has eliminated 3 straight men and one gay man.  We have no clue if the ratio of straight to gay men is 50/50 or what (I was beginning to suspect there might be no gay mean and only a bunch of hetero guys with effiminate qualities).

Nashville Star:   Stacey Michelle lost the audience vote (from last week) and at the end of the show the judges eliminated Mal Rodgers.

Trading Spaces: Home Free: The Yellow team was revealed as the winner of the phone in voten (from last week).  Two new teams competed last night.  Did not see the entire show yet so I don't know who I am hoping moves on.

Dream Job: After the judges (and audience) eliminated Casey and Kelly - there remain only four peple with the winner being determined in a two hour finale next Sunday.

High School Reunion:  On tape - but this is not an elimination type show anyways.

3/18/04 Last Night: American Idol 3 - Ryan pegged it last night when he commented on how they managed to turn a 10 minute show into a one hour show.  The bottom  three were Leah, Amy and (gasp) Jennifer???  Ok - actually I wasn't completely shocked.  Jennifer sang a song I was not very familiar with so it was hard to tell how well she sang it.  If I remember correctly Ruben had at least a couple of times where he was in the bottom three - so this might be a "wake-up" call for her fans. Leah was the one let go - and Amy was not in the final 2 - although Ryan did not say who got the second least amount of votes.

On Survivor All-Stars Jerri got the heave-ho.  More thoughts on this later.

3/17/04 Kiss Me I'm Irish!!!  Happy St. Patty's Day and Happy Birthday Mom!!!  (She was even born in Ireland).

Tonight: Survivor All-Stars is on again tonight due to the NCAA tournament on CBS.  Not a bad thing since for my likes there isn't a lot less more on other than the last 3 minutes of American Idol 3 where we will see one of the 12 get the boot.

Other: Looking at my web stats this morning its interesting to see the most common names that lead people to this site.  Right now the new women from Average Joe III are making up the majority, actually #One is the term "Larissa and Gil"  - I also see many searches for Marissa that end up here (I guess people are mentally combining Larissa from Season Two and Melana from Season One).  But here are the top 5 ladies names from Average Joe that people end up at my site looking for (So far in March):

  1. Jennifer Lifshitz
  2. Samantha Trenk
  3. Brittany Ducker
  4. Jennifer Bolkin
  5. Jennifer Abrams
You can find all their pictures and Bio info at this LINK.

Last Night: American Idol 3 .....  here is who sang what and the phone numbers The theme was  "Soul."

Latoya London   1-866-436-5701  (Ain't Nobody
Amy Adams       1-866-436-5702  (You Make Me Feel Brand New)
Matthew Rogers 1-866-436-5703  (Hard to Handle)
Camile Velasco 1-866-436-5704  (Son of a Preacher Man)
Jon Lewis            1-866-436-5705  (Drift Away)
Fantasia Barrino 1-866-436-5706  (Signed Sealed Delivered)
George Huff        1-866-436-5707  (Dock of the Bay)
Jennifer Hudson  1-866-436-5708  (Baby I Love You)
John Stevens       1-866-436-5709  (Lately)
Leah Labelle       1-866-436-5710  (You Keep Me Hangin' On)
Jasmine Trias      1-866-436-5711  (Inseparable)
Diana DeGarmo 1-866-436-5712  (Think)

After watching the show I can almost guarantee that the winner of the whole thing will be a woman.  My bet would be on one of these: Latoya, Fantasia, Jennifer, Jasmine or Diana (maybe Camile).  They are the top five in my book but I know that they will not all make the top five because one of the guys will hang around just because of the voting (more women vote than men - and one guy will get votes for that reason only - just my opinion).  George is the best guy after tonight - but again thats just my opinion.

America's Next Top Model II: I haven't even seen the show (on tape) but I did read an interesting article this morning about the fact that UPN had a suggesive scene edited out at the last minute.  Apparently the girls and the Italian guys that were chasing them around were caught on tape in what some might refer to as a basement make-out session from our childhood days (not that I was ever involved in anything like that mind you!!).  Of the incident Tyra said, "I don't want to say an orgy - but there I said it"  Full Article Link.

3//16/04 Tonight: American Idol 3: The 12 begin the real meat of the competition - and with 12 competing there will be no need for the 'filler' that drives me bonkers. Correction - I see the show is 2 hours long - so there will be lots of 'filler'  <sigh>.  I'll list the songs they sang and the phone numbers here as soon as they are available, sometime between 8pm and 9pm EST tonight.  Here are a couple pictures fox sent me today - these are very small images - click to see the full size (warning - they are full screen - or larger than full screen in size).  Clay will perform tommorow night.
These pictures will be removed in a few days since I have not watermarked them (otherwise people link directly to them and do not give credit to this site).

America's Next Top Model II: "The models invite some local Italian men over for dinner......One model succumbs to temptation, then breaks down as she faces the consequences..... One of the final four are eliminated and three remain."

For those with no interest in American Idol you can catch the re-airing of the premire of High School Reunion II.

Last Night: Average Joe 3: Adam Returns - Recap in the works - pictures of the ladies here.  Very brief recap- so we meet the 19 ladies and Adam must eliminate four. For some reason Jason from AJ1 shows up in drag.  Jason does not mention Melana - just talks to Adam for a minute.  We also revisit a few of the guys from the original Average Joe who are supposed to have selected the women that get to meet Adam.  At the end of the night Adam eliminates Elizabeth Wood, Sara Stone, Rebecca Butler and Jennifer Bolkin.  This episode will re-air this Saturday.

On Forever Eden - Jordan was banished and we see a hint at the next new member, Claudia.  Full re-cap here.

On House of Dreams  - the two "Red Hats" were Mike and Matt.  In the end Mike was able to stick around for another week and Matt got the $10,00 parting gift.  Matt started out the season saying he would give the house to a deserving family should he win it - during this episode he said he would not "give" it to someone but would rather "help someone out" as in let them live with him.  After he got the $10,000 check - he said he was buying a motorcycle.....   hmmmmm guess the charity only comes into play if its a house ;)

3/15/04 Tonight:  The premire of Average Joe 3 - finally Adam won't have to fight with anyone else for a woman's attention ;)  The list of the ladies can be found below.

Forever Eden: episode #4 is tonight - I will be doing a live recap here when the show is on tonight.

On A&E my two favorite sleeper shows - House of Dreams and Airline

Other:  A really interesting article (to me at least) about the show Forever Eden can be found in the Forever Eden News areaA lot of details about the workings of the show are explained.

Last Night: Nick and Chet were eliminated from Dream Job - now we are down to just 6 contestants - for those that do not watch this show - its not a prize of 100k or something - the winner becomes an anchor on ESPN's Sportscenter for a year.

On the premire of High School Reunion 2 here are my thoughts.....  lets seee....  first of all yes I am going to watch the show.  Now the complaints, such as they are.  You have the guy labled the "player" (Tre) who it turns out didn't even go to the same high school but knew lots of the people.  Toss in a former quarterback (Johnny) who graduated a year earlier (but is brought back because he dated someone on the show) and three girls who graduated two years later that are brought back to raise the drama level with one of the other women on the show.

Trading Spaces: Home Free: Whats to re-cap?  They re-did the rooms and in the end I personally felt that the Yellow team did a better job overall - or at least I liked them better.  I did not see an announcement on the winners of last weeks show - I missed the 1st five minutes so I will review the tape and update it here.  As it turns out they did announce the winners right at the beginning of the show,  the Lavender team of Glen and Jessie won with 62% of the voting.

My Life is a Sitcom: its on tape - just waiting to be watched.  Based on the total lack of discussion of the show over at the tvclubhouse I suspect I am the only one with any interest in it at all.

3/14/04 Tonight: Sunday has become crowded with reality shows - there are at least five I hope to catch tonight.

High School Reunion 2: Season premire of the second run of this show over on WB.

Trading Spaces: Home Free:  Episode 2 and we will see which couple from last week is eliminated.  Ty helps on this one - so he will be on 2 home improvement shows at the same time.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition: This is a repeat of the original pilot that aired in December (whew  - now I ony have four shows to worry about!!). For those that do watch it - you will notice the family does NOT go to Disney - instead they go to "Atlantis" - I assume after ABC picked up they show they sent everyone to Disney since its all in the ABC family.

Dream Job: Two more contestants will be eliminated tonight on ESPN - I stil wonder if they have the live voting worked out yet.

My Life is a Sitcom: Episode #2 - I still never saw Episode #1 so I will be curious to see this one.

Last Night: On Nashville Star the winner of the viewers choice was Brad Cotter.  Then each remaiing contestant played a song and at the end the judges eliminated one person.  Gregory Delang was the one voted out by the judges.  Next week at the beginning of the show another contestant will be eliminated based on the phone voting (which ends 3 hours after the show).  Then the nine remaining contestants will perform.

3/13/04 Tonight: Episode 2 of Nashville Star.  We will see who won the viewers choice voting and then the 11 remaining contestants will perfom a song that has reached #1 on the Billboard country chart.

Last Night: Not a good start for Jackie on Playing It Straight last night.  She eliminated  2 straight guys (Gust and Louis).  I never saw the exact number of straight guys vs gay guys given - since there was 14 men to start I assumed that there was 7 straight and 7 gay guys - but I never saw that verified last night.

3/12/04 Tonight: The premire of Playing It Straight - a few preview pictures and the press release can be found here.

Last Night: Survivor All-Stars: After a recap we saw Mogo Mogo for the most part - they were all complaining about Jerri.  Treemail reveals a challenge - turns out it is a big challenge - with big rewards.  Winning team gets to leave the island for a big BBQ and can take one member of the other team with them.  The remaining five members of the losing team have to go to tribal council and eliminate one member.  Chapera won the reward when it seems Ethan got stuck untying some paddles.  Chapera brought Kathy with them on their BBQ.

Chapera ate a feast on a huge boat while riding to another island, at the same time Mogo Mogo sulked in having lost - Ethan took responsibility for the loss but the others said it was a team loss (Rob M passed him while getting some paddles - I think Rob used a machette to cut a rope while Ethan tried to un-tie it).  Back to Chapera (and Kathy) - Kathy reflects on how she fits right in with Chapera - and she knows that if she switches alliances after a merge she will have to be careful.

After another commercial we see Mogo Mogo sniping and fighting - actually most of it is between Jerri and Shii Ann.  Back on the boat now Chapera is still having a good time and the ladies of Chapera and working on Kathy - making her feel one of the group - Kathy seems to be sharing a lot of info about her tribe.  At Mogo Mogo - Ethan/Colby agree to vote off Jerri - they ask Lex and he agrees (we think) - Lex goes to Jerri and tells her he proposes voting Colby out so he is gone before the merge (and gone before the individual challenges that Colby won like crazy in Austrailia).  Jerri agrees.  Lex talks to Shii Ann - she is more hesitant.  Hard to tell which way she will vote (Which is of course how the producers want it to appear ;) )

In the evening Chapera is still out on the boat - still having a good time....   Mogo Mogo prepares to leave for tribal council.  Lex and Colby each reflect on the potential vote.  Colby knows it could be un-expected if Jerri feels her back is against the wall.

At tribal council Jerri and Colby seem to both know they are the ones up for a vote.  Jerri seems to hint that Colby is the best player when the game reaches the individual part - Colby says that this is not the time to eliminate good players.  The voting begins after a bit more chatting.....

Ethan (Jerri), Lex (Colby), Colby (Jerri), Jerri (Colby) - and of course we don't get to see who Shii Ann votes for - but she does say  "You have underestimated my powers"

Votes are revealed - Colby eliminated 3-2

Teaser for next week (Wednesday) - Rob & Amber are shown kissing - One tribe member must visit the other tribe - and there is speculation they may not return.  "The Alpha Males of Chapera"  face-off (Rob & Rupert) - I have no idea what it means.

The Apprentice: The two teams ran pedicab companies for a day - Versacorp used advertising and ended up blowing away Protege.  Since there were only 3 people on Protege (Troy, Heidi and Kwame) and Troy was the leader - Donald told Troy to send one person upstairs and Donald would choose between Troy and the remaining person.  Troy sent Kwame upstairs and Donald decided to fire Heidi because she had really not contributed a lot in the last competition.  Donald's assistant, Caroline, felt Heidi has been riding on coat tails.  The teaser for next week looks like it is a re-cap show - highlights - 'never before seen video' - no eliminations from what I can tell.

Mad Mad House: Kelly was eliminated.

3/11/04 Tonight - the big guns for CBS and NBC - First up is Survivor All-Stars and the next hour you can catch The Apprentice.  After that flip over to the Sci-Fi Channel to catch Mad Mad House Episode 2.  I will be revealing the 'losers' here as soon as each show is over.

Last NightAmerican Idol 3 -  The 3 judges choices - Jennifer Hudson (Randy), Leah Labelle (Paula), George Huff (Simon)
America's choice with 22%  - Jon Lewis

3/10/04 Tonight:  Two weeks ago Wednesday night was full of shows (Bachrlorette, Celebrity Mole, ToddTV) Next week Survivor will be on because of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney on Thursday.  Tonight however is a 'lite' nite for the big network reality shows.

American Idol 3 - we'll see which of the eight contestants from last night move on.  I'll post the answers here as soon as I see them tonight.

Extreme Makeover is also on.

The Apprentice will be on NBC - repeating last Thursday's show.

Last night:  America's Next Top Model was just a recap show - no one was eliminated.

American Idol 3: 8 Wildcards revealed..... (my rating in *'s 1-4)

Jon Peter Lewis 1-866-436-5701 (Little Less Conversation) **
Elizabeth Letendre 1-866-436-5702 (The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face)***
Katie Weber 1-866-436-5703 (So Emotional)**
George Huff 1-866-436-5704 (Lean On Me)***
Susie Vulaca 1-866-436-5705 (I Will Survive)***
Matthew Metzger 1-866-436-5706 (When I See You Smile)**
Leah Labelle 1-866-436-5707 (Lets Stay Together)***
Jennifer Hudson 1-866-436-5708 (I Believe In You And Me)****
Lisa Leuschner - Did not sing
Marque Lynche - Did not sing
Eric Yoder - Did not sing
Tiara Purifoy - Did not sing

My thoughts......  since the judges choose 3 you can count on Jennifer moving on - she was the best tonight.  Of the guys I think George was the best but not sure if he was better than 3 other women.  Jon or Matthew might win the popularity contest (more women vote than men).  Hard to say who will move on.  it should be interesting tommorow night.

3/9/04 Tonight:American Idol 3: Eight once eliminated contestants get a second shot.  Even though 12 were selected last week only eight will compete tonight - apparently the judges eliminated four during rehersals (no names yet).  Four will move on - three judges choices and one audience choice.  I will post the names/phone numbers of the eight as they are revealed later tonight.

America's Next Top Model: "A recap of this season's first eight episodes, plus never before seen footage.   April panics under the fear a photo shoot may involve snakes.   Catie and Camille get into an argument.
Heather decides to pull wild pranks to liven the atmosphere around the house.   Two of the judges trade barbs. "  (from official site) - not sure if anyone will be dismissed tonight - 4 ladies remain.

Other Stuff: Even though the entry deadline is past for The Apprentice II - they are still holding open casting calls - Link To Open Casting Call Details.  Current Places/Dates: New York 3/18 - Atlanta 3/20 - Boston 3/20 - Chicago 3/20 - Miami 3/25 - Cleveland 3/27 - San Francisco 3/7 - Austin 3/27 - Omaha 4/2 - Little Rock 4/3 - Portland TBA - New Orleans TBA.

One more tidbit on Average Joe II - I can across an article which discusses Fabio's reaction to GIl's reaction to the fact that he (Fabio) used to date Larissa...  (got all that??)  Here it is: The thought of Fabio was just too much.

Interesting article about the Last Comic Standing II seclection process. Funny Business at 'Last Comic' Irks Comedians
"LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Two celebrity judges on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" have raised questions about the veracity of the show's process for selecting the final 10 participants to be featured in the televised competition.
Comedians Drew Carey and Brett Butler said their input as judges was discounted during the semifinal round that took place last month in favor of NBC executives and the show's producers...."  (complete article)
And a follow up article here. NBC Reality Show Casting Leaves Comic Stars Grumpy

Last Night: Forever Eden:  Kahlilah left the show rather than cast a vote to kick off Neveen or Brooke. Recap

House of Dreams: With another twist added there were 3 red hats last night.  Tony, Mike and Viveca all were up for banishment.  In the end Tony was let go mostly because the others felt they could not win against him and his story about being homeless.  The show sponsor upped the parting prize from $5,000 to $10,000 so Tony did not leave empty handed.

Yes Dear:  I missed this episode last go round - and you are right if you are thinking to yourself, "Hey, thats not a 'reality' show!!"  But in last nights episode Jimmy gets on a ficticius version of Big Brother (the episode was filmed shortly after BBIV ended).  We got to see Will, Hardy

3/8/04 Forever Eden - recap as it airs here (Spoilers for those in the west!!).

King of The Jungle II open casting call info - Columbus, OH
Sat, 3/13 -- San Diego, CA  Sat, 3/13 -- Pittsburgh, PA  Tues, 3/16 -- Atlanta, GA   Sat, 4/3  - see casting page

Tonight: Not a reality show - but about a reality show in a way - the cast for several editions of Big Brother will be on a repeat of Yes Dear tonight on CBS.  I missed it the first time so I hope to catch it tonight.

Forever Eden is on again tonight and next Monday too.  It may then switch to another night.  See my Forever Eden area for recaps, cast info, video links and news.  It appears the "Secret" location of the show is Port Antonio, Jamaica.  See my Forever Eden News Area for details.

Fear Factor on NBC - "Siblings"

There are a lot of what I consider "Reality Shows" on on Mondays - and now that Average Joe is over (next one starts March 15th) and American Idol is Not on tonight - you might want to check out these 'reality' shows:

Last Night: On Dream Job things got tough - 2 contestants were dropped and so we are down to 8 finalists. The two folks sent to the lockeroom were Lori Rubinson and Michael Quigley.

Sheesh - there is yet ANOTHER show I completely missed last night.  As much as I watch for the reality shows you would think I would catch them all - seems to me if someone like me misses the start of a new show then the people promoting it are doing a poor job.  Anyways - season two of My Life is a Sitcom premired.  Joe Mizion, whose family was eliminated last time has been given the task of casting a sitcom based on his life.  So its really not like the first season but I will do my best to check it out.  Only one other chance to catch the premire episode - they buried it at 12:30 am next Sunday - not much chance for it to catch on with that limited airplay.

3/7/04 Tonight - Dream Job continues on ESPN.

Well - this one snuck up on me - Trading Spaces: Home Free is on tonight - 8 couples battle it out over eight weeks - the prize?  To have their mortgage paid off.  Tonight is a 2 hour premire - after that its one hour shows. Here are the two couples from tonights show.

To Vote: Green 1-877-852-2220       Lavender 1-877-852-2221
Or click here to go to the voting page.
Voting ends at 2am EST (Monday)

What I wonder is WHO decided to have that new show go up against Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC???  Seems to me that its splitting the audience.  I have not seen any sign of Ty on Trading Spaces: Home Free - but he certainly is on Extreme Makeover (Next week TY will be on both shows).

Last Night: Ya know - I remember watching Nashville Star last year too - and it seems to me the people on there are, on average, much more talented than the folks on American IdolSo check it out if you can - the format is a bit different and they narrowed the field down from 20 to 10 in the 1st 90 minutes.  There will be one person added back by a phone vote.
1st Five: George Canyon, Jennifer Hicks, Brent Keith, Lance Miller, Mal Rodgers.
2nd Five: Stacy Michelle, Sheila Marshall, Matthew Lindahl, Marty Slayton, Gregory Delang.
One more person to vote for by phone from these five:
Laura Sullivan - 1-866-978-2701
Austin Hanks - 1-866-978-2702
Anessa Andrews - 1-866-978-2703
Brad Cotter - 1-866-978-2704
Rachel Williams - 1-866-978-2705

3/6/04 Tonight - Nashville Star 2 premires with a 90 minute show.

The folks at Forever Eden have made available a video with more to come.Check it out here.  Also please check out my Forever Eden Area.

Have you seen the advertisement for Swanson's "hungry man sports grill"  ??  This might help, in it one man blows another man into a bunch of lockers with a hair dryer.  I swear the guy getting blown into the lockers is none other than Steve from My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance.  According to the one mention I found of this ad on the net - it began running in the 3rd quarter of 2003.  Watch for it!!!

I have updated the casting page with a new UPN show that is casting (The Player).  I haven't been posting any casting info on this page of late - so please check the casting page often.  One new casting link I added was pre-difined searches on a site called craigslist.  Its a GREAT resource for finding out about open casting calls in your area.

3/5/04 Those looking for news on Brian from Average Joe - here is an interview - His heartache healed, Boston 'Joe' bounces back.

Last Night: Survivor - Sue left the show - she decided that the thing with Richard from last week (where Richard rubbed up against her while wearing nothing) was too much - so at the reward challenge she left.  The remaing folks decided to compete for the reward.  Mogo Mogo won reward (Shish-Ka-Bob) .  No immunity challenge of course.  Rupert said that Sue was talking about trying to sue Richard for millions of dollars for harrasment.

Apprentice:  Versacorp took Amy back to their team to even things out.  The competition is to pick from several artists and sell his/her items to see who can make the most profit.  Protege decided to choose an artist they didn't particularly like, but whose art was the most expensive.  They figgured they would have to sell less to make the most profit.  The plan backfired as they only sold one piece - and that was sold by Omarosa for just under $900.  Versacorp sold $14,000 worth of art and thus won.  In the boardroom it came down to Omarosa and Heidi.  Even though Omarosa sold their only piece of art, and was the only person against selecting the artist they represented, she got the boot - more for her past incidents with her teamates than for the current challenge.

Mad Mad House - Wow - this looks like a wild show - I have only watched the last 15 minutes of it - so I will try to update this later on....  For now the I'll just say that the person eliminated was Hamin.  I was a bit confused on the game aspect before I watched it.  The 5 very unique people (Alts) are basically judging 10 'normal' people as the normal folks compete for a  $100,000 prize.  You can still catch Episode #1 a few more times as it repeats this week.  The rest of the episodes will only be shown twice - 9pm and 11pm on Thursdays. Click Here to see a list of every air date/time

3/4/04 Tonight:  Mad Mad House premire on Sci Fi channel.  Here are a few preview videos that were provided to me. Thankfully since it is cable you can catch the show later if you miss it the 1st time. Click Here to see a list of all airings of every episode (it ends April 29th)

Also tonight will also be Survivor All-Stars and The Apprentice

Completely off topic - somone wrote me and asked whatever happened to David and Linda from "The Next Joe Millionaire."  Frankly I hadn't a clue but a little research turned up this article which says in part, "(David) Smith said that he and (Linda) Kazdova talk regularly but haven't developed a serious romantic relationship."

Last Night: American Idol 3: John S - #1 - 28%  (Just my opinion - he was far from the best last night - his voice isn't strong at all - but its nice to see him do well - my guess is all the moms out there are voting for him like MY mom did for Clay last year) - Jasmine - #2 (no % given) - George was the other person in the top 3.
Then the wildcard participants were revealed - 3 from last nights show move to the wildcard show next week.... So the 12 for the wildcard are - Susie, George, Tiara (from tonight) and then from previous shows: Jennifer Hudson, Leah Labelle, Elizabeth Letendre, Lisa Leuschner, Jon Peter Lewis, Marque Lynche,  Matthew Metzger, Katie Weber and Eric Yoder

Todd TV: Well..... its over....  and thats about all I can say about the show - it just never caught on with me.  The biggest drama of the entire series was Todd getting really fed up with the cameras and his loss of privacy.  In the end Todd got his Colonic (not even going to look to see if I spelled that right) and got to keep the motorcycle and everything else.  In a "big surprise" Bret Michaels showed back up and invited Todd to sing with him and his band in Boston (sorry folks - the show is already sold out according to Brett).  And thats it - do i see a ToddTV II?  Ummm........  no.

3/3/04 Tonight: Its the Finale of Todd TV where Todd will find out if he has  - a) Earned the chance to continue in the life you've built for him, to pursue his dream to be a successful songwriter. OR b) Blown this opportunity, making him deserving only of a return to his old life as an aimless beach bum.  Tune in to find out.

American Idol 3: See who moves on.....  my predictions are below.

If you have wandered by looking for info on Larrisa and Gil from Average Joe - here is the most recent info I have (Click Here).

Last Night:  My Forever Eden Recap is up as well as the images of the new cast membersAt the end of the show they said it will be on again next Monday.  I have not verified things yet but it appears they are switching their schedule for this show - more details when I have them.

I commented on American Idol 3 last night (below) - I think that two of the women will most likely move on and none of the men.  My guess is Susie (almost a lock) and then Jasmine or Tiara.  There is an outside shot that John S might move on but it won't be because of the way he sang  last night.  If he moves on I would think it was more of a vote for the darling 16 year old boy.

3/2/04 - Tonight: American Idol 3:  Here is the list of contestants- not in order yet!!!  (Updating as they are on - re-fresh to see current list)

Susie 1-866-436-5701 (Unbreak My Heart)
John P 1-866-436-5702 (That's What Love Is All About)
Heather 1-866-436-5703 (I've Got A New Attitude)
John S 1-866-436-5704 (She's Always A Woman To Me)
Jasmine 1-866-436-5705 (I Wanna Run To You)
George 1-866-436-5706 (Always And Forever)
Lisa 1-866-436-5707 (Come To My Window)
Tiara 1-866-436-5708 (I Wanna Dance WIth Somebody)

Just my opinon.. the only guy that might move on is George, for the women Susie is probably in and then its a toss up between Jasmine and Tiara.  I can't see John S making it but if he does its not because of tonights performance.  I don't think any of the others will make the final 3 tommorow.

Forever Eden Episode 2 - tonight one of the guys will go and another will be brought in to replace him.  My Forever Eden Area will have a recap of the show as it happens or shortly after.

America's Next Top Model : From the official site, " The models are surprised with a trip to Italy.  One model considers quitting in the wake of some professional criticism.   One model is accused of trying to sabotage another. "  Five models left.

New Reality shows in the works:  Three shows from TBS - Gilligan's Island, Untitled Bruce Nash Relationship Series, Untitled Candace Bushnell Project.

NBC now has casting info up for "The Contender"

Last night: Forever Eden recap can be found here (click).

House of Dreams: Naomi and Sherrill were stuck with the red hats.  The new twist was that the person voted out would get to take someone else with them and both would be part of the final jury.  After much scheming and an attempt by some to force a deadlock, George had the voting members close their eyes to vote and Sherrill was asked to leave by a vote of 4-2.  Sherrill decided to take Jim with him much to the dissapointment of Flor.

Average Joe II
***Update - On the Today show this morning Larrisa and Gil said they are still together, that the 'fight' was not as major as it was made out to be.  The portion where Gil was shown to be leaving also happened to be when they were leaving anyways.  Gil still seemed to have some hang-up over Larissa having dated Fabio but never the less the two maintain that they are a couple.  Watch the video -
